Presenting the only thing I ever worked on which I stayed up 'til 2:30 in the morning to finish. >-> I'm very much pleased with the colour scheme and mood, and I exercised a couple new shading/highlighting techniques along the way. Wooo.

Anywho, 'tis the Phooka (also spelled as Pooka or Pucca), a spirit-like shapeshifter of Irish mythology that can assume several forms, such as a human, cat, or horse. As you may have guessed, I prefer to think of the Phooka as a horse itself...rather, a phantom one, at that. So there you have it: my lame depiction of the Phooka. Rararar and so forth.

In the stories i was told as a kid, Phooka could take the form of a black wolf, a black stallion or a black eagle. but then the stories maybe be different in different parts of island. My grand parents were from the south west somewhere.
